  • The staff at Kays-Ponger were so caring and helpful throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them. We are so thankful for all they do to help families during their most difficult time.

  • Our family found that being assisted by such a great staff at the Port Charlotte location was a pleasant surprise. Thinking of funeral arrangements can be daunting at best, but with efficient help of Fred Duncan assisted by Dee, Nancy, and the Loffler Brothers, we were amazed at how easy they made it look. They provided beyond the call of duty help, including picking up a set of important papers at our house, bringing food platters from Publix, and notifying Social Security for the benefits to start. We still look over and talk about the video of pictures that they put together. Dee made us roar with laughter when talking about our loved one. She is a treasure who can weave an interesting and humorous story out of an ordinary life. The vanilla ice cream with cinnamon has become a favorite of lots of people who attended the funeral. Thank you so much!

  • My wife died 12/2/2013 funeral director Fred did an excellent job helping my daughter and myself make all preparations for my wife. Fred made us feel very comfortable. Fred was able to assist us and answer any and all questions. Fred was very compassionate courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this facility.

  • My husband Andre died on March5th of this year. His death was extremely sudden and from what my neighbor said,, the funeral home took an exceeding long time to get to my home. I was shock so I really can't gage the time frame, but I do remember being happy to sit with my husband and hold his hand even thought I know he was gone. It was very comforting to me, even as I was on the phone telling my daughter in CA that her father was gone to the Lord.(Fred deserves a raise or more vacation timeif there is such a thing in your business!! God bless him with many more years to enjoy his family!!
Anyway the funeral director that I worked with was Fred Duncan, a true southern gentleman in the best sense of the term. Mr. Duncan was extraordinarily kind and thoughtful with a pleasing and patient manner.
