  I attended the arts and crafts fair. It was very crowded, but well run. The variety of vendors was great.

  When we moved here in 2007, the plan was to attend several churches before deciding on our home church. However, it only took one visit to GCUMC to know this is where we belong. The members are involved in many activities and ministries, and I am able to help with many things. Everyone is so friendly, and prayers are always offered when they are needed. Jesus truly is the center of everything at Gulf Cove UMC.

  It is a great place that has all my worship needs. I would't go anywhere else. Gulf Cove is a great place to worship Jesus Christ. It also has a good children's program from birth to adulthood .

  I know it seems weird to write a review of your own church, but this is what I've found: this is a church that remembers why it is a church. 26 years ago the people of Englewood UMC felt a nudge from God to share the grace of God in this area, It has not been easy over the years, but they have always remembered why they started. Today, when we start getting bogged down with minutia and details, we still have people who say, "Remember why we started this church? It's not about us - it's about reaching people for God." This helps keep Gulf Cove UMC from becoming stagnant and self-centered. I love these people!

  My wife and I are retired and having just moved to Florida, were shopping for a church. In particular we were looking for a United Methodist Church. On our second try we found a home; Gulf Cove United Methodist Church!
  
  What was it that made us stop shopping? Friendly people, a good sermon, worship size and contemporary music delivered in a relaxed atmosphere all were contributing factors. When we left church that Sunday we discussed the warm feeling we both had and concluded that we found our church home.
  
  Looking back on our experience, I believe God put that warm feeling in our hearts and placed us where we felt we could contribute and make a difference.
